I am sure that you are just fine. You are not the only one to cave and do something stupid :)  I ate a french fry a week post op and totally freaked all night long!  And you know what I did the next night...did something just like it again!  Head hunger is a beast early out.  Just don't do it again!  Control the beast and don't push your new tum's limits.

You'll probably be ok... but be forewarned:  Eating solid food before you're supposed to is a recipe for disaster.  Please don't do it again.

Current weight: 170 lbs.

Once I reach goal, this cow will be killed & eaten... 2 ounces at a time.

Total includes 56 lbs. lost on 2-month low carb pre-op diet.  Start date 9/13/10.

well i am sure you will be fine. not to scare you but my surgeon reports leak cases from people eating meat before it was authorized - probably a lot more than you did.

so it you have trouble resisting this for the next few days or whenever you are cleared for these foods, ask someone else to help you out and do this food prep. Not worth taking any risks though again, it you have no pain or fever i am sure you are fine. good that you shared this. Diane

Early on, it's about not wanting to get anything stuck under or in your staple line. You have a long line of staples holding your tummy together, and you don't want anything bothering that healing process. Your doc has the best idea of what his staple line will handle and when. Chicken will be there when you can have it !!! And it will be soon !!!
