saggy underwear

Ha!  OK, so after losing almost 60 pounds and wearing the same underwear I wore at my heaviest, I'm realizing they are now verging on too saggy.  They are bunching up and getting caught in places they don't belong.  I'll leave the details to your imagination.

I'm unsure what size to buy.  I've been wearing the 18/20 from Cacique (Lane Bryant).  They were a little snug at my heaviest.  I'm in size 14 pants right now.  5'5" and 187 pounds currently.  What size do you think that translates too?  Is there a universal underwear size chart?   Also, do you think I'll need to buy again when I get to goal (43 pounds away) of 145?  I've never ever been that small in my adult life so I'm clueless.  In fact, I recall being 155 in 5th grade and being scolded by my doctor and grandmother.  Ugh, some memories I'd like to block out of my head.

Gosh, I sound like a moron.    Any help is appreciated!

Im clueless about underwear sizes but I think we both need to figure it out, asap!

I was wondering the same thing today - why bother?  I actually considered removing them halfway through the day.

Guess I'll go buy some cheap 10-pack Hanes or Fruit of the Loom this weekend at Walmart in maybe a size 7 or 8.  Hopefully the package has some info on it to guide me.

And girl, you need some new ones ASAP!

They have sizing guides on the back.  One word of advice, just buy one pack for now, and see how it fits! (wish I would have done that)...

I am 5'3, 170something, and I fit in 8's and 9's.  Fruit of the Looms and Hanes fit differently for me...

I am wearing the same underwear from 70lbs ago.  They are sagging too.  LOL
I bought new bras because the old ones were not doing their job but just have not broken down to get new underwear.

Bras!  I luckily have a bunch saved up from my thinner days, so I have transitioned back to the oldies.  My boobs have shrunk from DD to C, which I am very happy about.  Hopefully I end up at a B.  I don't want to be flat, but I like smaller boobs.

Size 7 should do. I am 180 and the same ht. I'm bottom heavy though.

Thanks for the size recommendation!  I'll look into 7's or 8's this weekend.  Even if the 7's are a bit snug, at least they would last me 'til closer to goal.

I can totally relate! In fact, I was thinking about making a post earlier today....asking what styles/brands are good nowadays....  and how to find underwear that fit properly!

I loved the Cacique brand (hipster with cotton/spandex)...and now I am lost in trying to find a similar style in the regular department stores or places like VS.

I started out in LB's 18/20...went and bought some 14/16 a couple months ago when I was about size 16 pants......still wearing these baggy things and I'm in a size 10 pants now...and desperately need to go buy some new panties!

So yes, ideally, you need to keep buying smaller sizes...

But finding the right cut & size, that covers my lower tummy &  and ones that don't give me wedgies is not the easiest task...I feel like it is always a gamble...because you can't bring them back...

When at 145 lbs, you probably will be size 6 or 7 ladies, or size medium...at least that was my experience from when I was that weight in the past...

OOOH, I also have the Cacique hipster with cotton/spandex.  As a bigger girl, they fit me really nice, didn't ride up, and didn't look like granny panties.  At least I didn't think so.  LOL
