Greetings all
Sunny and windy here. I got going fairly early for this late camper and did my walking. Good thing there is a lot of Prince music that I have not heard yet. Then I went to the studio and made some new slugs. There is a spring sale going on there but I heard it is not going well. Again. when the weather is nice people are doing something else.
So last night we watched the first episode of the second season of Poker Face. Fun show. Looking forward to the rest of the season because our nephew scored the music for the show. He did some of the first season. So if you watch, check the credits for Judson Crane. His younger brother is the one with the new baby.
So the postal people picked up the bag of tuna and such that we put out for the food bank drive. They get 20,000 pounds of stuff. CAn't imagine schlepping all that but glad someone does.
So Moby must be home by now and glad. Justice can relax. Enjoy the rest of Florida Liz.
Ocean Diane, sorry you had a negative experience with on line dating. Don't blame you for backing away but I do know quite a few people who have done well with it. Hugs to you and Sadie.
Dinner last night was Mexican leftovers that DH brought home. There is still quiche for tonight. One of my discount grocery purchase was a large package of tiny tomatoes. All colors. What a filling food! Who knew?
DH is on a laundry marathon. He waits until he does not have one more thing and then binges washes. Oh well.
Happy birthday to Lavender Paula! Cake?
There is a new book out by Dr. David Kessler on weight and dieting. Forgot the name already but it might be worth a read. He wrote "The End of Overeating" which I recommend. More of an indictment of the food industry.
The dogs are basking in the sun. Life is good.

No weight as we are in Door County.
Pretty chilly here and the Lake Flies have hatched, so we didn't do as much hiking as we had intended. Stopped by a nice little coffee shop and I enjoyed a Lavender latte and we took an afternoon nap, seems appropriate for a 60 year old! Lol!
We will go out to eat at our favorite restaurant. Seafood here I come! DH if I was going to get dessert but I doubt I would be able to eat it as good as it sounds! Home tomorrow!
So sorry this happened to you Diane! DH and I met on Match but there were also a lot of creeps! Good luck in your search for that perfect for you companion!
That stinks - so sorry. There is so much fraud everywhere these days.

Oh, I'm sorry this happened to you. Sadly, the grifters are everywhere online, preying on good people. Good though that you trusted your instinct that something's not right and got yourself out of the situation.
Good morning ! My foray into online dating with Match is over (actually online dating period). Someone attempted computer assisted catfishing, now called Online Romance Fraud (ORF) with me. There are actually computer programs developed to take a victims correspondence and then generate the perfect responses, fine tuning with each additional communication. Fortunately, the red flags began to accumulate well before a request for money even happened. Positives: I have a clearer picture of what I am truly looking for Negative: I feel loss at what I thought I had found, and it hurts. At least I know what to put forth as a topic at my next therapy session.

118.8 - always weird when I lose a pound in a day but haven't changed my eating. My weight has been bouncing around between 118-121 since last August.
Moby should arrive home today. His parents will call when he gets there. I can't tell if Justice misses him or is glad he is gone. I so wish there was a way to read a dog's mind!
Yesterday we ate at the Beach Club after Happy Hour. Yummy mussels! There weren't very many people at Happy Hour which was kind of nice as it was easy to chat with people. Somewhat makes me wish we were here year round. We don't see people as frequently there (or won't at DH's home which is somewhat isolated and he doesn't know anyone nearby).
Today we were supposed to drive an hour north to meet an old friend of DH's for lunch. That was just cancelled (no surprise as this friend is notorious for not showing up). Not sure what we will do instead. The weather forecasters are predicting showers though they did the same yesterday and they never arrived. They are pretty sure that it will be extremely rainy on Monday and Tuesday. A lot of southern Florida is in drought condition right now so that would be a good thing even though it will curb outdoor activities.
Before doing anything else, there will be a Justice walk and water aerobics. Have a superb Saturday!

I will have to mention Hanauma Bay to him. He is doing some poking around over the weekend. It is definitely quite beautiful there.
Speaking about grunting men at the gym, this guy ran by us yesterday grunting as he ran (every other step maybe?). Really weird. I don't get the purpose. He was running with his wife. I would probably tell him to stop if I were her ;)

Sounds like you are channeling DD by going to the coffee shop ;)
I hope it is still pleasant enough over your weekend. 58 can feel quite warm if sunny and not too windy.

Greetings all
The sun finally decided to come out big time. I got a lot of things done today. First off was a trip to the bank and then to the gallery. When someone pays with $100 bills it wipes out our change.. So fortunately I was given notice. More big bills came in while I was there so banking simplified. Also dropped off new work. While I was there someone bought one of my slug sculptures and it is going to Paris France. magnifique!!!
Yeah Liz a little dog can really pull if it is not trained not to. My dogs are about 18 pounds each but can pull like huskies. Moby's parents might want to investigate a no-pull harness or slip chain collar. I have to use that to keep Poppy from crashing me.
So have fun furniture painting. Hard work but so worth it.
My next mission was the gym. Still listening to Prince and my brain is making this pleasant association with the treadmill and the music. Better than the grunting.
Last stop was Grocery Outlet (which we call Grocery Outhouse). The food bank is having a drive for non perishables so i picked up a bunch of tuna, peanut butter and lentils. Also stuff for us. I forget that store is even there but it is new and fairly nice and they sure do have good prices. They also have wine and our gallery gets cases there for our events.
Paula enjoy the new liberation!! Yay.
Ditto Peps and DD on a free afternoon and warm weather. Peps I hear you on eating habits of the unemployed vs employed. I have never felt right about three meals a day - more like extended coffee hour, late eggs, late pm snack and lite dinner. I bet you continue to lose weight when you are less time constrained - in spite of dog show hot dogs.
DD I see lizarding in my crystal ball. Enjoy.
Liz hope your DS gets to Hanauma bay (sp) on Oahu. One of the most memorable places.
Peps got roses yet?
