I will have to mention Hanauma Bay to him. He is doing some poking around over the weekend. It is definitely quite beautiful there.

Speaking about grunting men at the gym, this guy ran by us yesterday grunting as he ran (every other step maybe?). Really weird. I don't get the purpose. He was running with his wife. I would probably tell him to stop if I were her ;)

Sounds like you are channeling DD by going to the coffee shop ;)

I hope it is still pleasant enough over your weekend. 58 can feel quite warm if sunny and not too windy.

Greetings all

The sun finally decided to come out big time. I got a lot of things done today. First off was a trip to the bank and then to the gallery. When someone pays with $100 bills it wipes out our change.. So fortunately I was given notice. More big bills came in while I was there so banking simplified. Also dropped off new work. While I was there someone bought one of my slug sculptures and it is going to Paris France. magnifique!!!

Yeah Liz a little dog can really pull if it is not trained not to. My dogs are about 18 pounds each but can pull like huskies. Moby's parents might want to investigate a no-pull harness or slip chain collar. I have to use that to keep Poppy from crashing me.

So have fun furniture painting. Hard work but so worth it.

My next mission was the gym. Still listening to Prince and my brain is making this pleasant association with the treadmill and the music. Better than the grunting.

Last stop was Grocery Outlet (which we call Grocery Outhouse). The food bank is having a drive for non perishables so i picked up a bunch of tuna, peanut butter and lentils. Also stuff for us. I forget that store is even there but it is new and fairly nice and they sure do have good prices. They also have wine and our gallery gets cases there for our events.

Paula enjoy the new liberation!! Yay.

Ditto Peps and DD on a free afternoon and warm weather. Peps I hear you on eating habits of the unemployed vs employed. I have never felt right about three meals a day - more like extended coffee hour, late eggs, late pm snack and lite dinner. I bet you continue to lose weight when you are less time constrained - in spite of dog show hot dogs.

DD I see lizarding in my crystal ball. Enjoy.

Liz hope your DS gets to Hanauma bay (sp) on Oahu. One of the most memorable places.

Peps got roses yet?

Hawaii is a wonderful place (as Paula can also attest to).

I LOVE the smell of lilacs - brings me back to my childhood when we used to have picnics under the ones in my backyard in Pennsylvania.

Moby is actually more of a "medium" dog at 26 pounds - comparable to my former beagle. Much bigger than any dog of his breed that I have seen before. Mike and I can manage him but an 85 year old man on dialysis might be pulled over.

Friends, it is 85 degrees right now! Possibly 90 on Sunday. I am in heaven. My lilac bush, which hasn't bloomed for hears because it's too shaded now has a number of fragrant blossoms opening up. Yeah!

DH is out bike riding, and I'm relaxing. We'll have a fairly quiet night tonight I think.

Liz, your son sounds like he's doing life right. We've never been to Hawaii, but its on our list. Delta has added it to the companion ticket list, so we'll be looking at what I'm sure are very limited dates to use our companion ticket. That won't really be a problem though, because our schedule is about to become very flexible. :)

203.7 - Lowest official Friday weight so far... I'm also pleased that I didn't have the wide, several pound uptick I've been having during the school week. I don't feel like I did anything differently food wise. I guess the only real difference this week is no weight lifting. So perhaps water retention was at a minimum. Lifting does cause fluid retention for muscle repair.

Paula, hope Door County is what you need it to be!

Liz, glad Moby got off okay. You made me laugh about Moby having a lot of strength. I can only imagine you and Mike trying to walk one of mine or perhaps Kirby, if you think a Cavalier could upset your balance! Please understand, I think of Cavaliers as toy dogs (which they are), so it struck me as funny when I will walk 3 Airedales at a time to think of a little Cavalier pulling you over.

Diamond D, I am also looking forward to eating on my own schedule. I eat on a very different schedule when I'm not at school. Sometimes I eat only twice a day. Sometimes several snacks through the day and one "meal" in the evening.

It was a glorious half day at school today. I was out of class and in my car going home by 11:15. Whoo hooo! Lovely having a prep period right before lunch on Fridays! On shortened days, I'm done at 11:05.

Off to a dog show for the weekend... It's going to be downright hot tomorrow - 95 degrees!!!! Then right back down to the upper 60s to low 70s on Sunday.

Have a Festive Friday, friends!

I don't think he would try it. He doesn't even like taking an ibuprofen now and then. He's got a thing against medications. But very interesting to hear about responders vs non-responders. His DD is taking it and having good results.

123.5. Back down a little.

DH went to our favorite coffee shop for breakfast. I had Bananas Foster steel cut oatmeal (only ate 1/2) and my prized lavender latte. So good!

Now I'm set to pack for our Door County weekend. I think today we will hike Cave Point Park and do a little shopping. Dinner might be at a sushi place in Sturgeon Bay that offers other things as well.

Weather here is chillier than I would like and will be even chillier in Door County. No shorts for us this weekend (except for when we get back home on Sunday). I was going to wear a dress to dinner out on Saturday but have rethought that with the high only at 58 degrees.

Have fun with the dog walk and yoga Liz! Good for you for painting your own furniture! Take a pic of you in the dresses once you get them back from the seamstress!
