Nice job on your test results! The smoke arrived here full force yesterday so air quality alerts are in place here too. Makes for a pretty colored sun at night, but it isn't worth it.

The fact that you dreamed of that door in Ipswich is a little bit mind-blowing. But somewhat along those lines DH and I have often said that it felt like fate that we met on the dating site. Right away we felt a connection which became much more after we met in person.
I did add the additional bag to the reservation... but I may not bring it back so I may buy a cheapie that I can leave in Florida.

After filling the tank and getting my super high octane leaded Starbuck's, I was on I 80 headed west before 7:30 EDT! I drove 810 miles today to end up in Avoca, Iowa - roughly 40 miles from Omaha, Nebraska. Tomorrow I'm going to drive 931 miles to end up in Coalville, Utah. That will be a LONG day of driving - about 14 hours. Well worth it to be home a day earlier than planned, IMO.
Off to bed!
Greetings all
Full on sun here. Ocean is so blue as is the sky. Beautiful day. DH went to see his tech challenged friend this morning to deal with a rogue printer. So I got to control the tv and leisurely watch news. I also had homework as our accountant wanted some information (ie did I pay all my tax estimates) and other stuff. Still more to do. DH came home and the printer is terminal.
After that I went to the studio and had a lot of new stuff. I was not sure all of it would go through but it did. So I glazed some more stuff and then took finished work to the gallery along with loads of gift bags that had been ordered. Busy up there.
So last night we started a new series on netflix called "The Hunting Wives". It is a dark comedy about a bunch of rich women in Texas and all the trouble they get into. Extremely trashy but engaging.
DD your woo woo moment is interesting. We have all had those moments. Eerie and not explainable but nevertheless a real thing. Thanks for the series recommendation. Sounds fun. We also like the Gilded Age but are all caught up.
Yes Liz, another bag indeed.
Safe travels Peps. I am guessing that you were at a specialty show?
Yow Paula those plastics are coming up soon. Score on the Ben and Jerry's. Gosh you might want to wear a N95 when picking veggies. Remember the covid days when those were impossible to find?
Not much else. More pot pie tonight.
Ahoy Kirby,
Diane S
Forecasts are the air quality improved here today, and should continue to improve this week. Hope that extends to Wisconsin!
122.6. Up another smidge. I would be happy to be at 125 going into surgery the start of September.
Had fasting labs for my upcoming annual physical next week. Everything looks to be in the normal range on My Chart! Yippy!
Air quality still sucks here. It's getting old. I think I will still go work in the garden tomorrow even if it is bad. Those veggies aren't going to pick themselves!
I went grocery shopping this morning to get ingredients for Mexican shrimp ****tail (tonight's dinner) and saw Ben and Jerry's ice cream on sale for $2.99 a pint. It is usually over 6 bucks. I bought 2 in an effort to be ready for surgery (lol, that's what I tried to tell myself!). I did drink a Fairlife today which is 30 grams of protein to boost up my level!
We won't be showing our house, the couple wanted to move here ASAP and that isn't our timeline.
Your first date story is very sweet. Some magic was already happening, a story that was meant to be.
This is kind of who wee whoie, but the day I met DH, I had a quick vision pass through my head of me standing next to him while he unlocked a front door. This had happened countless times in 40 years, but never exactly like what flashed through my mind. Until the summer we stayed in the little cottage in Ipswich. It was that front door.
Liz, yes, I think our controversy club was impacted by political issues. Our discussions became too dicey and we started tip toeing around each other and it wasn't fun anymore, nor was I learning from our discussions. It was always challenging to find a date to meet, so we just stopped trying. No one said let's disband, but no one made the effort to set up the next meeting or pick a topic.
Thinking of Peps and his long drive! I always think we're going to hit the road early, but we too have settled on 9am being the more civilized time to depart. We would miss the bus for breakfast though!
We watched a 2 episode show on Netflix called Storming Area 51. Diane, it's about aliens, but nothing explodes. It's a documentary about a silly idea to storm Area 51 that went viral and the consequences.
Paula, are you moving forward with showing your house to the prospective buyers?
CC, I really would love to be Kirby, swimming, boating, napping. Except the sticks, I don't want to chew sticks. I do enjoy though seeing the pictures of him chewing sticks because he looks so perfectly happy.
Off to lunch. :)
PS: I think you need an additional bag Liz :)
