Yay for your sales, and Wowzah about your food choices. They sound delicious.

125.6lbs.

Nobody fell off the roof, and the second floor walls, windows, gutters, and trim look great!

Today we do more power washing of same, but all on solid ground.

Yesterday I spray painted a big plastic planter saucer to match the planter it will go under. Big confession: I have never ever ever painted anything! I am so not that kind of person. I now feel like I might have the courage to buy a (blush!) glue gun.

Quick response.about packing pressed clothes without wrinkling them. If you don't rknow this (although you probably do) hang his jacket on the cleaners' hanger and cover it in the dry cleaning film. Likewise hang the pants on a separate hanger covered by the dry cleaners' plastic. Fold once in the suitcase. It worked for me for decades of airline experience work travel when everyone wore suits every day.

Happy long weekend to everyone.

119.2 and DH was 190.6 yesterday. He is under his initial goal of 191. He has done really well but still has those cravings he has to manage. The biggest plus for me on the meds is eliminating that aspect for the most part.

I packed all the clothes, etc. into my suitcases yesterday and they fit! No having to pare down. In the afternoon we shared peel and eat shrimp and oysters for lunch then listened to the Electric Frogs playing Rolling Stones and other music from that era. By the time we got home and walked the dog we were too tired to change and go out so had pizza for dinner.

Today I have to help DH get his new suit into his suitcase with as little wrinkling as possible. After the usual Sunday breakfast we must do several loads of laundry, clean the house, remake beds and bring some of the stuff in from the lanai into the house. Luckily with the glass enclosure around the lanai we don't have to bring everything in. We also need to remove everything from the counters and walls in the bathrooms since we will be having work done in them while we are gone.

We leave the house at 6 pm and should get to the other home by 1 am. Luckily there is no pressure to do anything on the other end and it looks like decent weather there tomorrow after a very cold, rainy week.

Sad to be leaving - I think we might come down the first week in August though. Maybe I will stay here between that visit and the bachelorette party since it will only be a few days apart. Food for thought.

Have a somnolent Sunday!

When I go up the 32 stairs (yes I count them) to the condo several times a day, I really think a lot about that if I am carrying my yoga bag or groceries. And my small carryon probably weighs less than the weight I lost last year but I need to wheel it vs carry it.

I find that power washing unlocks hidden OCD: everything looks so clean you start wanting perfection and keep trying it elsewhere. Lots of work though so in recent years I had hired other people to do it if there was a lot to do.

Greetings all

Cloudy today. Too bad because the Kinetic Grand Championship Race started today in Arcata. Pretty funny. Three day race. The start is fun to watch. Tomorrow they go on the bay.

So I did a dangerous thing today. Stopped and looked at an open house. It's on a nice street here that I have always admired. Really nice finishes and affordable. Geez why did I look? About the same size as what we have but better with hot tub. Oh well, I will probably fiddle around and someone will buy it. The true appeal is that it would force DH to dejunk. Has an oversized garage for his debris.

Yay DD sounds like a perfect day. You may experience some anxiety for being not productive. But it will pass. Bring it on! More plants!

Yikes Ann, power wash the roof? Good on you but OMG. Be safe please.

Good luck with sale Paula. Glad you had a good first day. Its fun.

After the house detour I got dog food, went to the studio and bought a 25 lb bag of clay. Once again reminded about how much even 25 pounds can weigh you down. I am on the cusp of looking into the meds.

Have a good trip Liz. Cape must be so fun in the summer. Enjoy.

No weight for the weekend as we are in Door County,

Got some pics of the cherry trees in bloom on our way to dinner last night. Dinner at our favorite restaurant was very good albeit too much. We shared 5 different appetizers and DH also got a cup of lobster bisque. We had baked Brie with fruit, scallops, tenderloin bites, oysters and crab cakes. DH definitely ate way more than me but both of us were stuffed to the gills. Honestly, I hate the feeling of being over full now.

Art fair today went really well and I still have tomorrow. I probably didn't bring enough inventory of my cards and I finally sold one of my bigger wall prints in metal.

Dinner out was good. Still very full but not overly stuffed like last night. I got a salmon pasta dish on a garlic cream sauce with a lemon lavender ****tail. So yummy! Thankfully DH was able to eat at least a 1/3 of my dinner and we still had food left on the plate. He got a salad and nigiri and then minion mine!

Sounds like you all are having a great Saturday doing things you love!

P.S. I can't imagine maintaining any home with bricks, concrete, limestone, cultured or other kinds of stone or hardware, decks, even big expanses of glass without a power washer. Besides if/when you need to repaint porches decks and porches you have to power wash them first to clean them well.

It's awesome for mold, mildew, dirt, dust, and is amazingly satisfying to use.
