I was so dumb this morning. I ordered a caramel macchiato from Starbucks and within three sips I knew it was a bad idea. That caramel sauce + me = stomachache and gas. Hope this passes soon.

Hi friends;

Well, at this time one month ago I was getting ready to go to the hospital. It's been an interesting time ever since.

Ever since pushing myself to have at least 60 oz of fluid a day, I feel better.

I don't really care for the flavor and I've got about 10 packets of it and a whole jug that's open and only had 1 scoop taken out.

Anyone who'd like it, I'm shipping from Boston, MA, USA and all you have to do is pay shipping :)

I weighed myself this morning and I was the same weight as last week. It's been 3 weeks (almost a month) since surgery so I presume that, right on schedule, I've hit the stall.

Hope it breaks soon. I'm sure it will.

AACK! One of my coworkers supplies a big basket of chocolate for our office daily. She puts it on the shelf right on the way to the printer I have to use. I was so tempted this morning, but I didn't touch it because I don't know if I'll dump. And I don

Hi friends:

I'm doing OK with the protein part of my diet; with a protein shake and regular foods I'm getting in about 70-80 gm per day. The NUT wants me to get between 70-105 gm per day.

It's the liquids; I'm thirs

Thank you so much for this recipe. The only problem was I ate a little too much and it got stuck in my chest. But that was a lesson learned!

It was very tasty and easy to make. I'll definitely be trying your recipes in the future.

Wednesday April 6 - came home at 283.2 lbs

Today April 11, I weighed 272 lbs.

So 11.2 lbs lost. Wow. I can live with that :)

Aargh! Why is it that when you can't eat something, you suddenly start seeing ads for it everywhere??

My parents ordered Mexican food tonight. They're being helpful by eating it in their room, though. I know they have to eat and I don

I got home from the hospital around 1pm. After taking some pain meds and sleeping for 2 and 1/2 hours, I felt much better.

Every time I've eaten/drunk, I start getting gassy and burping; I am passing gas from below but not much. I emailed my di

Hi friends:

Well, here I am on the other side of surgery. I just had my upper GI and was cleared to drink clear liquid. I'm tired and sore but otherwise feel m about to try liquids so wish me luck

...because I ate something I shouldn't have eaten on my pre-surgical diet.

My parents are out of town (I live with them) visiting my sister and her kids. I'm not there with them because I'm prepping for surgery on 4/4. I've been on th

So I met with my wonderful nutritionist, Marie, this morning. She was pleased that I've been dutiful in following the pre-surgical diet. I've lost 4 lbs since Monday. I know that's probably all water but it's still something :)

I'm looking forward to it, a little nervous though. I ate so much this weekend. This week I will be cutting way back on carbs to prepare myself for the pre surgical diet that starts next Monday. I refuse to have more binges (I"m not a diagnosed binge e

Hi friends:

I saw my nutritionist this week and she went over the 2 week presurgical diet. It looks the same as many of the diets I've read on here.

2 protein shakes a day

One meal of protein and non starchy

...and it's great.

I've struggled with food, I'm trying, but some days it's really hard and I eat what I probably shouldn't. However, yesterday I swallowed my pride and usual "I can do it all myself/don't need to ask for help" and I a

I saw the nutritionist for a follow up yesterday. She was very happy with the progress I've made: cut out caffeine, not drinking with meals, measuring protein (mostly). She'll see me again on 2/29.

I saw the surgeon today and I have a

It didn't really teach me anything I didn't already know, but the review was nice. Next up: seeing the surgeon again on January 28 and then nutritionist on Feb 1. I'm going to ask that they have my surgery after the end of March, since I have my niece

My dietician yesterday gave me some samples of Unjury protein powder. I'm drinking the Strawberry right now; it's really good! It doesn't taste artificial.

Today I had the upper GI series performed; I've been through that before so I knew what to expect. The radiologist said everything looked normal with just a bit of reflux.

I then saw the social worker for a psych eval. She was very nice. I was

Hello friends:

Ever since I decided to have WLS, I've been eating treats every single day. I just ate some Dunkin Donuts. Over the weekend I had cake twice (2 slices each time). I have bipolar disorder so I'm prone to anxiety/obsessio

  Hello friends:

Even at my highest weight, I've always done intense exercise (when I could; it still hurts when I do it but I press on) such as running (gave that up because it hurt my knees), CrossFit, and boot camps. With the decre
