4 Months Post-Op today

Jan 15, 2009

I think this may be more of a confession - then anything else.  I still love my RNY, but I will be honest - I have convinced myself that I am not going to lose any more weight.  In the last 30 days, I have lost only 6 pounds.  And I have found I am back to eating, even if I am not hungry.  So I am trying to re-focus, get back on track and stick to the routine - like I did for the first 3 months.

I let myself slip one day, ate a stinkin' Boston Creme Pie Little Debbie at work (which didn't even taste good), then proceeded to eat animal crackers when I got home - a lot of animal crackers - probably 2 cups worth over the course of 4 to 5 hours.  It was so wrong - but I did it anyway.

But that was when I kicked myself in the butt and have turned over a new leaf.  I had a goal of being 165 by my 35th birthday.  Which is 22 January - but since today is 15 January and I weighed 174.4 this morning - I know it will not happen.  But - I have a positive outlook on it.  I have been given another promotion at work and get to move back over to the USMC side of the house.  So that was a definite ego boost - which has brought me out of my little hole of sadness.

I have been on the exercise bike for the last 4 days straight....and this weekend - I am going to break out the pilates DVD again.

So - OK month 3, it was a slow one, but month 4 is going to be phenomenal.  I am going to turn 35 and get a promotion to a Supervisory position - so let's take all of that goodness you have been blessed with and focus on the good.

So, last 38 pounds - you are coming off, get ready!!
