Official week 10 weight loss

As of this morning, my official end of week 10 on Atkins, I am down 48lbs?!?!?!??!?!? WoOOoOoOHoOoOOo

In 23 days I will be on "the OTHER side"... I can hardly stand it, I am so excited. I get goose bumps reading the message boards, I am beyond inspired... more dramatic than the before and after photos are the tales of new life, and WOW moments... I never would imagine how excited I could get when someone I don't even "know" fits into size 12 jeans!!!! Life really is good....
I am still on ATKINS... I can't even dare mess this all up by gaining back any weight or risking major carb craves. I am wrapping up week 10 of ATKINS... and depending on the time of day, I am down 45-47lbs.... the weight loss is slow this week, but in general, the weight is still coming off.... I am truly blessed.
Monday I'll get my pre op blood work and chest xray, soon to be followed by an EKG.... and then just my pre-op appointment with the surgeon, and I am THERE....
It is hard to contain my excitement... I dream of what life will be like this time next month... this time next YEAR!?!??! WOW, it's overwhelming.... and I am thankful to every single person on OH who shares and inspires and/or educates me or even just makes me think.... I appreciate YOU!!!

Ok... It took me 40 years to get this fat, so why does it seem like waiting a week to get "my date" is FOREVER!??!!??! Last Wed I got the "go ahead" from my surgeon... he is (and I am) ready to schedule my surgery... a dream come true.... I thought I'd hear by now, and I pray I hear this week.... With the Thanksgiving Holiday, etc, will I have to wait even longer for "word" ???
Bad News... I am soooooooooooo impatient!
Good News.... 2 or 3 or 4 more lbs down this week?!?!?! YaaaaaY!!!!! I guess waiting for my insurance approval is not stopping my weight loss... every day I am getting closer and closer to my goal!!!

I've Got News! Well, Kinda!

I had my appointment with Dr. Patching yesterday. I was down over 40lbs since we first met on Sept 6.... 40 lbs+ in 2 months 
, not so shabby!!! He asked me if I still wanted surgery and what date I had in mind!?!?!?! I was all over that and I am so excited I can hardly stand it 
! I am now anxiously awaiting the phone call from his office with my surgery date 
! We are just waiting on insurance approval 
(which I think I already have) and then I get my "date"... who would have known I would be so excited 
(most of you, I'm sure!!!).... I have ordered my vitamins and am ready in every way... if they called and said, "come over now," I'd so be there! Now I sit waiting for final approval 
.... then I can really relax and enjoy the ride .
Atkins, Week 8

I just finished week 8 of Atkins, I am thrilled to say that I am 38lbs down as of this morning!!! This was definately my "best" Halloween ever as I didn't put a single "treat" to my lips... quite an accomplishment for a sweet-a-holic!
Dr. P's office changed my appointment from Nov 29, to Nov 8, to Nov 7... of course I am thrilled... By Wed I should be down 10lbs since my last visit on October 16th, and 38-39lbs from our initial visit September 6th. (and 50lbs down from my visit with my PCP on June 26 when I got the ball rolling!) I feel so blessed that I've been able to find an eating plan that works for me and isn't hard to follow.... do I still wish I could have hot french bread with butter and pizza... ummmmmmmmmmm... YES.....but feeling like this is better than tasting that!!!
Wish me luck with Dr. P on Wed... I am hoping to meet Cathy (aka PrettyBird) that day as well... we share the same surgeon, work for the same company, and live in the same area... how lucky is that!!! She is a few days post op and is helping me so much along the way... how lucky am I???

I am soooooooooooooo proud of Cathy (aka PrettyBird), she had her surgery on Halloween and has had an amazingly smooth recovery... she is my inspiration! I want to be just like her someday (soon!)..... Gooooooooooooo Cathy!!!
My Plateau is OVER!!!

So, since 10/16, I had not dropped a single pound... not one pound... BUT as of yesterday morning and this morning (I couldn't believe just ONE reading), I have dropped 5-6 more lbs!!! I'm so excited!!! I am now down 36lbs at the end of week 7 of Atkins... 
11 more days until I see Dr. P again, hopefully I can drop 5-6 more lbs by then!!!

Nine LONG Days....

It's sad and it's true... it's been 9 long days since I've lost a pound... Yes, NINE!!! No, I haven't gained... but between being weighed at the surgeon's office on Oct 16th and my nutritionist's office Oct 24th, I lost not one pound....
ACKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't cheated, not once... I guess I need to cut back (or cut out) the red meats and pump up the veggies... I still want to do Atkins, as I am afraid even a couple of carbs might push me over the edge....
My surgeon's office called today... My appointment was just bumped up from November 29th to November 9th... I was supposed to lose 20lbs by my next appoitment... Super ACK!!!!
How can I lose 20lbs in 14 days from NOW??!?!? Of course I can't... I am having a panic attack....
I know I can only do my very best... I will pump up the exercise, sweat more, and eat more greens... what else can I do??? Besides pray... I need to get off this computer 
and move my butt....
