Its an hour ride from the hospital to my house. Some of the bumps were pretty bad but other than that I was fine. My Dr. provided a wonderful binder to make everything all snug and held in.
As soon as I got home I laid in my bed and fell fast asleep. I was even able to get on my belly/side! Getting there is a little painful but once Im there its comfy. Thats how I usaully sleep. When I woke up I made a mug of Unjury chicken soup flavored protein powder. I like it. The Glucerna's for diabetics they tried to give me in the hospital were nasty
.
So basically Im all doped up on Percocet, sipping warm protein liquid and water, in my bathrobe chilling on the couch. Not bad if you ask me. Im gonna do some laps around the kitchen when Im finished my protein. Im thining about taking a shower... I so wish I could take a bath.

Tried following up with the woman who submits the requests for authorization to insurance. She left me on hold for 10 minutes then I hung up and called back. She didnt answer but, I left a msg. telling her I was just checking if she followed up on my insurance request. I figured I'd call her again on Monday.
BUT
I just checked my insurance website and its there! Its PENDING...
I will be calling them instead.. on Monday. They have a date of 1/5/12 listed but I hope thats just because they have to put something there for a date. I still have hope for having the surgery before the end of the year.

Insurance... Will it happen before the end of the year?

I called my insurance company today to see if my surgery had been approved. I was told there is no request on file. My Dr.'s office said they submitted it on 11/17.
Im soo aggrivated.
I called the Dr.'s office and spoke to the woman who submits the request and she said she would" have to pull my file" and, she would" try to get to it today to fix it". I told her my name when she answered the phone and Im sure she could have written it down but, she didnt even ask for a birthdate to confirm it was the correct Elizabeth Jones [not like it isnt a common name].
Just had to vent.
I told her I would follow up with her tommorow...
I will ride her ass until she gets it in gear. I really want to at LEAST have my approval before the end of this year. but I really want my SURGERY before the end of the year.
Ugh..
