1 year and 8 months post op... 199 lbs lost
Dec 19, 2012
It has been a great blessing to have had this surgery and thank God have not had any complications. I have been able to do things I actually did not think I would be able to door do again. I have been able to participate in the Susan G Kolmen 3 day 60 mile walk for the cure this year, I has able to go to a theme park and actually get on rides something I have not done in over 20 years. I was able to walk through turnstiles with out turning my body sideways wow what a feeling,. The little things that have such a BIG impact on our lives. I have one more mediation to hopefully get off of and no more pills. The doctor feels he will take me off that medication once i lose about 30 more pounds. I have been struggling for the last 5 weeks with my weight., up 1 pound one week; down the next. Today I weighed in at exactly what I weighed in at on 1 year 7 month post. I know that it will get harder to lose the weight at this point, I will continue to do my very best. As always to those that are thinking of WLS.. I will say in my case it has given me a new begriming and it is incredible, but do your research it is so important that you know everything you can about the steps you intend to take. This is not a quick fix this is a way of life.. Good luck to all.
