January 22nd I have a Date!!!

February 6th!!!!!!    I am in shock!!!  Thank you so much for the wonderful support.  Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful Valentines and Birthday gift that I am going to get!!!  So much to do in such little time.  If I wasn't in so much pain I would be doing cart wheels right now!!!!!  I am jumping for joy!

January 19th I am Approved!!!!!!

I am approved for the surgery!!! Kathi Storm called me asking me what type of gall bladder surgery I had back in 1993 was it open or lap? I said open.. and she said well DVR wanted to know what he is working with as far as scar tissue is concerned. I said ok.. So then she says by the way, you have been authorized and so Sheri will be calling you on Monday with a surgery date!!!!!! I almost fell on my face.. lol

It only took 2 days of being submitted to get an answer!!!  What a way to celebrate my 7th year Wedding Anniversary today. I am so happy!!!!

January 16th Last Supervised WL visit

Thank God everything went great with my last supervised weight loss visit.  I lost 3 1/2 pounds and was only 1 pound over from the first visit to see Sloan on November.  I weigh 246.5 right now.  Sloan was quite happy for the 3 1/2 pound loss and told me to continue on the body fortress 2 times a day and stay on task. Kathy came in after Sloan went over my chart and told me they were going to put in for authorization.  I was told I will here from them within 2 weeks.  So the waiting begins!!  After being with Kathy for a few minutes I went to meet with Ann.  She was a very nice lady and we had a nice talk with eachother.
Then after I finished with her.  DVR came to see me. He asked me if I had any questions about the surgery.  I asked him a few questions and he answered everything without even rushing.  I am so glad that hopefully soon my new life will begin.

Thank you to my dear husband who stood by me drinking protein shakes and having tiny lean cuisines meals. He never gave up on me even when I was giving up. I love you Gino!

Thank you everyone who supported me through this hard few weeks.  Yay I've made it!

Now the real waiting begins.  Praying that God facilitates this approval the very first time!

To My wonderful Secret Pal

I recieved my gift about a week and a half ago.

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful Calgon take me away tropicaldream gift bag. At first when I recieved the package I could not figure out from whom the gift came from. My husband read the card on the gift and told me this is from your secret pal. I jumped for joy and it made my day. I had been having a rough time and this was the best gift I could have gotten. I used it right away by taken the most relaxing bath that a gal can take with such a great gift.
You are just the sweetest pal that any one could have. I thank God for a wonderful secret pal that you are. God Bless you always.

Finally the endoscopy is over!!!  Dr. Saltzberg was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable when I met him this morning for the very first time.  Man oh man that drug they use is some good stuff.  They put it in my IV and bang I was gone in matter of seconds.  I didn't feel a thing. I woke up later to a nurse telling me ok Cira it is time to wake up you are in recovery and you are doing great!  I was a little ticked off because they woked me up. lol I just wanted to sleep it felt good.  LOL
I was not hurting but remember that I was coughing for a little while.  They offered something to drink and took a cup of coffee. It tasted so good since I was hungry and I had missed my morning cup of java. I have noticed that I felt bloated from the procedure and now my throat is a little sore. Other than that I am doing great and dying for January to get here so DVR can submit for authorization for the surgery.

I was called early this morning by Bevery from the gastro office to tell me that Dr Yin will not be able to do my endoscopy tomorrow because he had an emergency.  She gave me two options wait to get reschedule with Dr. Yin or have the procedure done by the other doctor in the office Dr. Salzberger (think that is how you spell it.  I chose the latter and they scheduled me to be there at 9:30 am and the procedure will be at 10:30 am.  So no more eating or drinking after midnight. Hopefully all will go just fine. I am a little nervous since I have read from other OH'ers that they were gagging and stuff during the endoscopy.  The doctor assured me that is not done anymore.  I will be knocked out and I am happy for that.

Ok so I had my echocardiogram done today at 9:30 at GBMC. I am so happy that I am almost done with all my testing.  I go for my endoscopy on Tuesday and then I only have an EKG to get done after the a get a surgery date!  Now I can relax and enjoy the holidays without having to run all over the place anymore until after January!   Yay!!!!  
I will keep you all posted. Wish me luck that all is fine with my echo results.

There was a cancellation and I have been moved up to December 19th at 1:30pm.  I am not to have anymore NSAIDS as of today. Wow I am going to have a headache from hell since i will not be able to eat or drink from midnight and I need my morning coffee at least before 12:30pm. lol 
Anyway I am glad since I want to get this all out of the holidays.  Yippeeee things are moving along smoothly.

As for my eating habits I have been good yesterday and today.  I have been taking the advice if my OH friends.

I had my supervised weight loss visit today with Sloan needless to say she was nice but *NOT* happy with me. I gained 4 1/2 pounds this past month and I am going the wrong way! ughhhh I am so disappointed with myself.
I need to lose these 4 1/2 pounds or more by my next visit on January 16th. That will be my last supervised weight loss visit and I was told they will put in for an authorization for the surgery. If I gain more I will most likely get denied or have everything postponed. These holiday cookies, meals and everything else under the sun is NOT good for me!! lol

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? Well, I know I need to stop all the good I mean bad stuff. Maybe I should replace two of my meals with protein shakes. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I want to do good and be approved for my wls.

I had my consult with the Dr. Yin the gastroenterologist.  He was really nice and answered all my questions in detail and never even rushed me out of his office which is a biog deal for me.  I was very surprised to see him act so concerned.  He questioned me to make sure that I new what I was getting into for the RNY surgery.  He sounded like my Psych evaluation!! But I was very happy to see that I was just not another number and he was making sure that I was 100% certain of what I was going to do with my future. Dr. Yin had my endoscopy scheduled for january 3rd at 8:30 in the morning and I have to be at the GBMC at 7:30 am.  No NSAIDS or aspirin for 1 week before the procedure and no eating after midnight. 
I was hoping to get a date sooner but to no avail.  The receprtionist told me she will keep me in mind and if a cancellation comes thru she will give me a call.

After that I came home to meet with hubby and the kids.  It is little Gino's 2nd birthday.  We took the kids to Pizza Hut and then we went shopping for Christmas decorations, after that we went to Lowes for a Christmas tree they were awesome all sizes for 29.98  we got a 7 foot tree. Then my girlfriend was there and gaves us her employee discount so we got $6.00 off the tree which was awesome!  Then we went food shopping and came home exhausted. 

We sang happy birthday opened presents and had fun putting the tree up.  We will try to decorate today.  Hubby has to work so it will only be me and the 2 smallest and my oldest Tara.

Anyway thank you everyone for listening to me ramble.  lol
