Still at the hospital but going home tomorrow!

Well Friday the surgery went very well, i woke up in Recovery and could barely talk but they understood that i was asking for my pain medicine!  they hooked me right up to the PCA pump of Demoral and that really helped a lot...things were way fuzzy friday for me and i was in and out the entire day.  Saturday morning i woke up and they took me to get a barium swallow with pics to see if there was any leaks..NO LEAKS...BUT...i didnt have good movement through my lower intestines so i had to be on ice chips and water  for another day or until i passed gas.  I was burping but i never did pass gas until sunday morning...didnt' see the surgeon until today around 1pm and he wen ahead and released me to full liquids, however, the nursing staff and aides were TERRIBLE and i only got water and crystal light all day and i didnt even get a dinner tray until i complainded!  FINALLY i got my little cup of soup and it was FANTASTIC...but have yet to pass gas or burp so i dont know what the surgeon is going to do tomorrow.  he said i could go home tomorrow as long as i was passing gas but i havent since this morning so i do not know what will happen.  Hopefully i will be able to go home!  I'm so missing my own house and my kids!  I am doing better manageing pain, and honestly it's not too bad today.  Friday and Saturday were pretty bad, but today has been very good!  That's about it!  Hoping tomorrow goes smoothly!
