Dr.Ross Fox-He is very nice and has had over 30 years of experience. He surprised me by saying that it would be exciting to do the surgery on me because I will have the perfect figure afterwords. He seems to really care about his patients.
-I really liked Dr. Fox but due to insurance problems I have to change surgeons, I am looking forward to meeting Dr. Weber

Dr. Oh is a very "no-nonsense" type of doctor. He doesn't mess around with chit chat at all. Just gets down to business. At first it bothered me that he wasn't real friendly-- talky talky type. But then I realized, after talking to many patients, that he knows what he's doing. I've heard from other physicians that he's considered the best WLS surgeon in the state. And besides, I'm more interested in surviving than having some doctor hold my hand. His office is EXTREMELY busy!! So sometimes it's difficult to get a call back on a routine type question---but anything I've needed taken care of asap has been. Aftercare is a BIG deal to Dr. Oh-- He has a very structured program and has a patient advocate who also runs a support group. He definitely went through ALL the risks of surgery--- 1 by 1. He had a check off sheet that I had to sign prior to surgery.
I'd rate him extremely high in the care and competence area. His bedside manner is lacking BUT I'd much rather of the competency than the chit chat.

Dr. Oh is kinda quiet at first, but during the orientation his personality really came out. He has quite the sense of humor!! His office staff is great, he actually has two people who had RNY and are working for him, so that makes you feel really good. Seeing the finished results, and knowing that the people who are working with you have been through the same thing you will be going through. I chose Dr. OH even though I am about 200 miles away because he was able to accomodate me more quickly than the other doctors in my area. He also had his own webpage, and even a patient advocate. He has everything pretty much set up for you to make things easier. For me, it's worth the trip! Dr. Oh and his staff have been wonderful. They had an orientation that told me about all of the types of surgeries that they perform. He doesn't try to sway you, he just gives you all of the information and risks, and lets you make the best decision for yourself! I would highly reccomend him to anyone!

I have now had several meetings with Dr. Oh. He certainly gets right down to business, which I like. No nonsense, straight forward. My endoscopy was a breeze. I can tell he is very thorough. I am also impressed with the busy office staff. They always answer my questions, no matter how many times I call. Am looking forward to continued care with Dr. Oh and his staff!

Dr Oh is an excellent surgeon but a bit serious. I've discovered that he has different moods. Sometimes he is curt and to the point and other times rather jovial. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. He is very adamant that you follow a strict diet. The first four weeks are completely clear liquids. Then you move onto soft foods for another month. He also requires protein drinks and vitamin supplements. His patient advocate sells all that he requires at very good prices. This makes it very easy to get answers regarding the nutrition side. I have had no complications and feel it is because he is so thorough and skilled. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Oh, I liked him, was a bit hurried, but I felt good about that, because I also did not have to wait in the office or room for a long time. Of course he was very professional, but with a small bit of humor. Which helps. I am still going through my testing before my surgery date is set. May 23rd I should get my surgery date. I have chosen the lap band and am self paying. My insurance does not pay for WLS or medication. So I'm doing it for myself. He did talk about pre srugery care and after care. We will get more into that as the time gets closer. Can you tell I am anxious? I prefer surgical competence over bedside manner, but if he was rude as I have heard another surgeon is, I would not go to him. Dual respect is very important.

Dr Oh was the assistant on my gastric bypass and when it came time to have my tummy tuck I knew that I would only have him do it. He is a wonderfully skilled surgeon and is very dedicated to helping people. There is not enough words to describe his incredible abilities. All I can say is that I have joined his staff at the office and I am honored to be a small part of such a great surgeon
