An adventure I am looking forward to and hope to do in 2022 is going parasailing in the bahamas. I have lost enough right now but with covid we haven't traveled out of the us yet but hopefully will this coming year.
Traveling! I was able to fit into the seats on an airplane (with room to spare). I was able to all the walking and keep up with my traveling companions.
I want to go kayaking without sinking the boat~
I noticed that when I start eating "normal" foods, including desserts, grains, breads, pasta, or even some fruits, my appetite gets much bigger and my cravings for carby items can be bad. And even with physical restrictions (how much I can eat) I start gaining weight and I can gain very fast. In 2020 I started eating "whatever" once in a while. then it became a few times a week. In 12 months I gained over 40 lbs. In a middle of this year I decided to recommit to better for me diet, but I had a few "relapses" in eating foods that I know I should avoid. I was able to lose 10-15 lbs and my body is trying to resist losing more. But I am dedicated to eat better for my body (keto diet) and I eventually switch to keto-paleo.
One day at a time, one meal at a time.
I've been on the rather strict keto for the last 7 weeks, and we have a lot of snacks in the breakroom. Right now its not very difficult to look at that and not getting any. I honestly rather eat cheese.

That's about where I'm at, I'm real close to 40. If they put me on a diet for 6 months, I bet Ill get below 40. I guess time will tell!
Ziplining with my daughter and her friend.
Paddleboarding and kayaking
Just hiking.
All of the little things that I felt too heavy and sluggish to complete or do.
Being more social!

Hi Lori,
I also live in Spokane! I have never done Bloomsday but it is on my list for this year.

My husband and I went to Talladega Motor Speedway for a race. We flew from TX to AL and it was the first time in many years I was able to buckle my seatbelt without an extender! I was able to visit my hometown in AL, do a lot of walking without severe pain, and see cousins. In the family photo, I was no longer the largest member! Great visit and very uplifting emotionally. ??
I was not on a calorie restricted diet. I was advised not to eat white foods like potatoes, bread, cake. I ate lean meat and vegetables and gave up the Diet Coke. My surgeon was afraid that the insurance company would withdraw approval if I lost on my own. I think I was something like one pound over 40 BMI.

So many things I wouldn't have tried pre WLS but three that stand out
1) climbing to the crows nest when we did a tall ship cruise
2) fitting up a very narrow crevice that I would not have gotten through before on a hike in Utah
3) zip lining
