THURSDAY WORKOUTS!!!!!!

So I broke down and bought a Garmin Forerunner 305! I took it for a quick test drive this morning and love it! 2.4 miles @ 8:34 pace.... 7mph PERFECT! It said that my max heart rate reached 226BPM  LOLOLOL and I average 188 BPM.... YEAH RIGHT. I need to trouble shoot that as I think it is probably 30-35 BPM too high. Anyways, good stuff. Going to take it with me on the trail for lunch today. Looking forward to it. WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY?

 I love mine, but not sure I like wearing that freaking heart monitor, especially on the long run.

 Ran/walked 3 miles...ran at 4.7 consistently and when I walked it was between 3.8 and 4.0 at an incline of 3.0 to 3.5

3 miles of intervals on the Treadmill at lunch, 25 mile group bike ride after work, then 1/2 mile in the pool.

 2300 yards this morning, ran out of time and had to skip my kick and cool down.
Gonna figure out a run later today, it's pouring again.  Probably going back to the Y for some treadmill work

Ran my weekly "long" run at a great time (for me). 6.2 miles at 9:04 mile per hour pace. It seems that as I run a fast/short run one day followed by a long run the next, that long run is simply faster! I like it

Increased calories a bit this week and have dropped two pounds so far...I suspect with the increase mileage, I actually didn't feed those activities enough and went into "starvation" mode, for the past 6 months...wow. I'll play it out a bit and see if it's actually the case.

Cool gadget! 

Last pre-half run for me on the treadmill.  I'm getting adjusted to running on that after refusing to use one for some time...........it was too humid out today to risk getting sick.  And of course, it was too hot in there so I still got a headache..........can't imagine run-walking the half with a headache like that UGH.  I ate before so not calories.............Did about 4 miles. 

I've been worried about injury the last two weeks............I'm so glad now I can just prep for my race.  See chiro tomorrow and travel Sat, ,so two rest days for me.

I'm still waiting for my SHIRT so it can go to Cleveland............I'm going to be all alone there, the least I could have is a team shirt.  :-)

Hey Ya'll- I've been mostly a lurker- but ready to jump in!

Yesterday: Chest (Press, Flys, Dips) & Abs (Crun*****line bench, weighted twists) and a great Spin class... getting stronger everyday!
