Saturday Workouts!!!

I had a nice workout this morning.  My buddy gave me a bike last week so I rode it to my favorite running spot this morning.  It was 1.6 miles to get there and I was surprised how much my legs hurt when I got there.  As soon as I stashed the bike a woman pulled into the parking area with a flat tire and I had her out of there in about 4 minutes.

The actual workout was 2 times a mile at 8:36 and 8:34.  I tried one more and was on pace through a 1/4 but I just couldn't hold it.  I jogged/walked back to the bike and rode at what I would consider a nice clip home.  It is going to be a sore day just because I am not used to it.  Not sure if I am sold on the bike yet but I will give it at least a dozen or so rides to give it a chance.

What did you do today???
Scott

Symbolic bike ride this morning!

43 miles and change for my 43rd birthday, for no other reason than I can do it not where 2 years ago even the thought of walking up stairs was exhausting.

just farm chores until my 5k this evening. It will be held rain or shine. 70% chance of rain and I will be there to get my first soaking while I jog! (just hope it doesn't storm where it is cancelled )

Did a 5k this morning, 23 minutes and some change, I seem to be stuck in 23 minutes for stand-alone 5ks, in a sprint tri I can get under that for the run split, but not stand-alone, I am starting to get frusterated. After the race I did a 21 mile bike ride

well it was no 23 minute 5k lol but I improved my time by 3 minutes to 43 and some change. I jogged about 22 minutes of it by alternating jog 2 walk 1 for most of it, then the last little bit walk 2 jog 2.

Pretty dang proud of myself
