I started the week out badly by skipping my bike commute this morning due to the heat!

[Bike commutes depend on weather plus my work schedule (off site meetings can kill a bike commute)]

M- AM 30 minute dog walk, PM Run Club, weight circuit

T- AM swim laps 30 minute then Bike Commute

W- AM 30 minute dog walk/run then Bike Commute PM weight circuit

R- AM swim laps then Bike Commute

F- AM dog walk/run then Bike Commute

Weekend - Long Run plus dog walks and maybe a swim

Best of luck on Saturday. I can't even imagine running 50k. (I could barely do a 5k and hated every last minute of the 38 minutes it took me.) Hope you have good weather - not too hot, not too cold - Goldilocks weather! Can't wait to hear how it goes for you!

Hello, Warriors!

Hope everyone is doing well. Life is getting back to a little normal, but we have a big week on the homefront - my first fencing tournament is a week from today on October 1. I'm competing in two events - women only in the morning and mixed in the afternoon. (All participants over 40).

Sunday - Rest

Monday - Fencing lesson and class 2.5 hours

Tuesday - TRX 1 hour

Wednesday - Fencing lesson and class 2.5 hours

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Agility/weights

Saturday - Pilates to stretch the body before tourney.

Last weekend picked up new fencing shoes and it has made a huge difference for me - I feel like my footwork is crisper now - maybe its just the confidence of new shoes, but I love them!

Here to a great week for everyone!

Thanks. He's already plotting his next races and scheduling stuff well into the spring. I'm glad he's found a sport he enjoys - because if you don't like it you're not going to do it. Will keep you all posted on the tournament.

Yesterday I skipped the pool and laps, mostly because I am irrational in the early morning and when my alarm went off I rolled over, whimpered from my sore, post weight lifting muscles, and decided I "couldn't" swim. I did manage to take two brisk walking breaks at work...

Today I biked to work again, as scheduled, and I'm planning on biking directly to the rec center and lifting weights after work. After lifting I'm going to bike back home and take my sister's dog for a walk and run for an hour.

I'm totally feeling the weight lifting! Even though I'm doing zero "core" work, my abs and back muscles are sore so I must be engaging them while lifting.
