Glad you are feeling you are progressing with the half Ironman. I have a ton of respect for that.

Been feeling good about how I'm fencing lately and have added a day of agility workouts to my routine because I'm feeling like my feet are too slow. it does get some strange looks at the Y.

Monday - Fencing 2 hours

Tuesday - TRX 1 hour

Wednesday - Fencing 2.5 hours - private lesson plus session

Thursday - Possible Pilates session - 1 hour

Friday - Personal trainer - 1 hour

Saturday - Agility and strength training 1.5 hours

Sunday - the Lord rested, so do I!

Keep on losing!

I've developed a huge Lululemon addiction! They go quite small--their sizing is odd its 2=xxs, 4=xs, 6=s, 8=m, 10=L, 12=xl.

And if they are still too big they have a kids line Ivivia.

For compression try their tight stuff tights or their all the right places crops.

i second the couch to 5k recommendation! I started it around 225 I think? And really pay attention to how your knees and ankles and feet feel. Make sure you wear good supportive shoes that are broken in but not worn out.

If a step feels like too much, take a day or two (or week) off and repeat it. I know lots of people *****peated days or whole weeks in the program.

I did my first half marathon 6 months after starting couch to 5k and now run marathons!

Second the concern about the dehydration. Are you meeting your fluid goals yet? If you are, go and don't pu**** modify to the limits of your energy level and body. If not, try yoga not in a heated room.

I did vinyasa and hatha at that stage.

I like the Old Navy compression leggings a lot - they seem durable with good tightness and are often on sale. For upper I really like Calvin Klein's sports bras. Great compression. Usually get them on sale at Macy's.

I mean bras like this one, not the strappy frou frou kind:

that is Ok if walkers pass you by. don't worry about it. I truly know how hard it can be but remember one thing you are doing this for you and nobody else. I have it happen many time in races and my trainer can walk my run pace but it does not mater

Both yoga and indoor cycling are beneficial, with respect to cost, I think you should go to a gym, it is cheaper and you could do both activities there.

I did the thread for a while too, so I understand :)

So far my week has been good, although it was too hot and nasty outside for me to do my walks outside - I went to the mall on Tuesday and then around various big box stores on Thursday. w00t!

I did, as my surgeon warned, have increased swelling after Wednesday's fitness classes, but it subsided overnight.
