Weather has definitely gotten cold. We ran at 4 am Sunday morning and it was 27 degrees at the start. Brrrrr
Completed my last "long run" on Sunday and now its time to taper and prepare mentally for the marathon. I believe I have a good plan in place, nutrition, water, salt etc. Now its just time to see if my plan works.
Monday-Planned day of rest
Tuesday-6 miles (almost negative splits)-10:06 pace, 1 hour and 1 minute..controlled and steady run
Wednesday-Swim 1000 yards (work with swim coach) ...30 minutes
Thursday-Only going to run 6 miles---9:34 pace, 58:08..28 degrees at the start..only 4 of us showed up today
Friday-Swam, but not 1 mile..used the kick board a lot today..basically swam for an hour but not for distance
Saturday-going to a race to help out. I think I'm working the registration
Sunday-Run 12 miles

I don't see my trainer every time I'm at the gym. I see my trainer 2x a month. But, long story short, while the number in my profile doesn't tell the whole story, I'm down 150 pounds. Every penny I spend on working out and my health is more than worth it.

That's true... I guess waiting would be giving myself the chance to fail, I can't allow myself to fail.

You pay for a trainer and it will keep you accountable..no one wants to give money away..

Ok I will speak with one tonight. I was trying to wait until I developed a routine cause they can be pretty expensive but if it's the way to go from day one, I guess I gotta do it. I just can't let myself slack so I'm getting my moneys worth.

I highly suggest that you get a trainer to help you develop a plan. I started working with one before I had surgery to prepare a routine for post surgery. My trainer has laid out my plan for my needs. We meet every 2-3 weeks to switch things up.

which weight training exercises do some of you do? I'm doing my weight training as instructed but I'm all over the place. I do glutes, legs and chest basically every time I go. I'm being told I should have specific days for each part I'm working on.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to get a trainer until I've completely developed a habit of attending the gym. It takes 6 weeks for most people to develop a routine and stick with it and I was given clearance to workout a week ago. I have a long road ahead of me with this working out stuff but it must be done. I'm down 34lbs in a month and a half which is amazing but I'm beginning to see signs of loose skin and want to minimize that as much as possible.

I'm trying to get back on track. Weather is limited my riding plus my mom is in rehab for her stroke. I'm going to prioritize myself everyday after I see my mom. I'll post daily the next morning.
