Hi girls!

So the TWW was up on last Friday and so far all pregnancy tests have been negative. I am on cycle day 35 today and my period has been starting around cycle day 36 so I am just sitting here waiting for it to show up. I don't have any PMS symptoms like usual....it's kinda strange because normally, I have really sore breasts, increased appetite, cramps, mood swings, the whole bit but I feel normal right now.....who knows! If no visit from Aunt Flo this weekend I will call the doc on Monday to see about a blood test.

It's kinda funny, but for me going through this is really tough so you have to find some humor in it or you might go insane! My husband and I were taking about the negative tests and the what the hell are we going to do with the rest of of our lives conversation, and out of the blue he says "Well listen, if no baby comes we can just get a new Camaro instead, at least they can't talk back or date boys with neck tattoos!) bahabhbahahah!!! We cracked up for about two days over that one!!

Anyway I will keep ya updated :)

Topic: RE: C-section??

This question gets asked here a lot, look back and you'll find lots of answers.

My two cents is that my stomach and my vagina are not connected, so I don't see how one would have any bearing on the other.  That being said, I had a c-section with my first baby pre wls, and a vaginal birth with my second, post op.  So, I guess I really break that mold.  I'd say if anything you're less likely to need a c-section because obesity is one of the risk factors that causes people to need them more often.

Topic: C-section??

I have been doing a lot of research on pregnancy after bariatric surgery, and most places I have read said that most patients have to have a c-section after WLS and can not deliver vaginally, however there is no reason why.  Has anyone else heard this, or had discussions with their doctor?

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I just found out 2 days ago that I'm prego with my 2nd baby and I think I'm still in a state of shock. The nausea, weakness and fatigue has already started again and my Bella just doesn't seem to understand why Mommy doesn't feel well.

So last night I had to go Into L&D triage for taking a blow to the stomach... Long story short, they would not allow me to eat anything! Just a clear liquid diet
For 24 hours. Now I am home and I can't eat nearly as much food as I could before! My restriction was horrible before the trip to the hospital yesterday, but now a couple bites and it is coming back up! Anyone have this issue?

Topic: Gallstones and 25 weeks pregnant!!! Long (Sorry)

So, I'm 2 years post-op RNY and 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby.  Last weekend I was having severe abdominal and back pain that lasted 11 hours. At first I thought it was gas pain, but after 6 or 7 hours, it became evident that it wasn't, so I called my midwife to see what to do.  I didn't want to go to the ER on a Sunday evening (you know how long folks have to wait in the ER on nights and weekends!), so she had me come to Labor and Delivery to get checked out.  The OB on duty ruled out anything pregnancy related and told me to follow up with my Bariatric Surgeon because she thought it was something related to my Gastric Bypass surgery.  On Monday, I went in to my Surgeon's office and got an abdominal ultrasound, which revealed multiple gall stones and liver function tests that came back normal.  We also discovered that I have mysteriously lost 7 pounds in the past week and a half (I had just visited my surgeon a week and a half ago for my 2-year check-up).  I confirmed the weight loss on my scale at home.  The surgeon doesn't understand the weight loss, because I have not been dieting, exercising, and haven't had any vomiting or diarrhea.   At this point post-op, I am no longer on the" looser's bench."  By that I mean, I my weight has been slowly creeping up over the past year and before this sudden weight loss, I put on 14 pounds with this pregnancy (my point is that the weight loss isn't because my eating is extremely restricted, like some folks).  The surgeon doesn't want to operate on me while I'm pregnant and in the meantime has put me on an extremely low-fat diet to help prevent any more attacks.  I'm going to see my midwife on Friday and they are going to do some blood sugar tests and also check my pancreas enzymes.  Has anyone else dealt with gallstones while pregnant?  If so, how did they treat them?  Any ideas what may be causing the sudden, unexplained weight loss?
