I'm post RNY (22 months) and my team kept me on my regular schedule (vit D, iron, vit C, calcium) but had me exchange one of my 2 multis for a prenatal. So I take one multi and one prenatal now, in addition to the others. I also started a DHA (Omega 3) supplement.

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with twins (3 years post DS) and also only gained 6 pounds. My babies are now slowing growth and even though I have lots of complications due to non wls issues, my doctor will not schedule a C section before 37 weeks for twins. So there is NO way they should do it for singletons. Please get another opinion. You don't want to sit with a baby who's lungs are underdeveloped (usually only matures in last few weeks).
Hi Alice,
Yes, it is IVF babies, so date is certain. We get ultrasounds every 2 weeks. Everytime they were fine. 2 weeks ago they were 1 week behind and now 2!
I'm post RNY--I take the same vits I have all along--2 bariatric advantage multi vits, 3 calcium, 1 b-12 and Iron---we did double my iron at 24 weeks when they do a check of all pregnant women's iron because it tends to drop.
Congrats...but sorry you are in pain! I feel for you. I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and Lupus...I have been in pain on and off this entire pregnancy! Not sure what the situation is for you as far as meds go...did your Dr. Tell you that you couldn't take anything or can you just not tolerate them? If it is your Dr. Saying no...I would get a second opinion! At the very least you should be able to take Tylenol! My OB gave me Lortab (Hydrocodone) and in the very beginning I was on Percocet until I decided I didn't want to take it anymore! My Rheumatologist also told me I could take flexeril (Muscle Relaxer) and Plaquenil (for my autoimmune disease) I have not taken much of the Plaquenil and only take the flexeril and Lortab on the very worst days! There are options out there for you! As far as the glucose test there are options out there for that as well! I was 4 years post op with my first and we only half did it. My Dr. Let me drink what I could and however long it took to get there...I didn't have too much trouble with it and she decided I didn't have issues with GD. This round I am getting ready to do it again...I have a reg. OB this time and she is going to do a fasting blood draw first and let me drink what I can and if I don't finish draw again and compare. I am not going to push myself...I am not going to let myself get to the point of sick! It will be what it is! I told her right off the bat I couldn't drink that much sugar without getting sick! She was fine with it! If your Dr. Isn't going to let you listen to your body I would look else where! You know your body and you have every say on what you do/happens to it! Good luck! Hope you find something that works for you and your Dr.

Hi gals ;)
I'm 15 months out of VSG surgery and am happily newly preggo. Yaaaaaay!
I've been on celebrate multis w/iron, twice a day. They have enough folic acid and iron and all the other stuff. Only worry is the vitamin A is 200% and I've read too much Vit A can be a big problem. I don't see my Dr for another 3 weeks at my 7wk ultrasound. What vitamins do you all take??
Thanks!
I have to agree with the prior posts...WLS alone is not a reason to induce early!! I was 4years post-op with my first and he was born @ 40 weeks3 days weighing 6 lbs 12 oz! If WLS alone is the reason they want to induce I would seek a 2nd opinion also! If possible keeping baby in those last weeks is important!

Are you certain about your date of conception? Was this your first ultrasound?
