Topic: RE: 34wks and some issues
My son failed his twice weekly non stress tests and then would be on the verge of failing his biophysical profile test. He was safely Born healthy at 38 weeks. Each week I would anticipate his failing and being taken for an emergency c-section. I know its scary but trust your dr's know what they are doing and they want and healthy strong and happy baby just as much as you do!!

Congrats! I got pregnant 6 months after my sleeve and had no issues what so ever. Shouldn't be much of an issue. Enjoy the ride!
Topic: RE: Pregnant and have to do 3 hour glucose test
I had to do it with my preop pregnancy and it was awful (I know, probably not what you want to hear). Is there an alternative they'd be willing to do?
Topic: RE: Blood test frequency?
Usually vit levels are drawn once each trimester. The bigger the baby gets the more he will take from u. Some obs follow it and some see their reg dr that follows their labs. I myself followed a dr that specializes in post wls patients as she was more up to date and more knowledgeable on treatment for certain vitamin defencies. The only prob I had was drop in b12 and continued anemia. Treatment was b12 injection everyother week and additional iron tab with improvement in both. Also continued monitoring if u choose to bf as again the bigger they get the more they take. Hope this helps

Hello and welcome aboard. Pregnancy after wls is not much different than pre wls. I have to pre wls and have a 10month old post wls. Preg went very well better than other two because I didnt carry around and additional 200lbs. I had rny so only different was vit levels each trimester and different type of glucose tolerance test for dumping issues but you should be fine with vsg. Good luck and heres to a happy and healthy 9 month

Topic: 2 years out; 5 weeks pregnant
I just found out I'm pregnant (about 5 weeks) and am so excited, scared, and nervous! I'm a little over 2 years out from VSG and wondering if anyone had any issues during pregnancy that you attribute to wls? So far I've had a little bit of nausea and breast tenderness, nothing too intense yet though.
I'm looking forward to having the support of this group throughout my pregnancy!
