Awwwwww....look at her! She is really rockin' that new heart. Hard to believe that's the same little girl that was in those heartbreaking hospital photos! I'm so happy you updated. Can't wait to see pics of her first birthday party.

Woah, where has the time gone? Just a quicky....everything is great with Shaelyn, she is growing like crazy, doing very well with her new heart and NO set backs so far, fx it stays that way. She will be 10 months next week and weighs in at around 18 lbs, moving to size 12 mths clothing although 9 months fits nicely now. I can't believe she will be a year old very shortly. Enjoying every moment with her and my favorite time is after meds at night when we are all cuddled together while she drifts off to sleep after her busy day. Shaelyn is a little delayed in rolling over (has done this twice on her own bot front to back and back to front) therefore she is not crawling yet, but don't underestimate her, if she wants something she will figure out a way to get it...lol, she can sit up all by herself unsupported, even in the tub. Other than that All is great and on schedule. Hope you enjoy the spam and Thank You all for your continued prayers and thoughts throughout our ordeal.

Have this baby or babies and if you know for sure you don't want any additional babies get your tubes burnt & tied or tell your husband to have a vasectomy. 5 kids are a lot of kids in today's world especially when you don't or didn't plan on it.
So many before have done it with early post-op pregnancies. Now I am not down playing it - it is not a wise choice if someone is chosing it and not a fantastic thing to happen if it just happens to happen. The baby will take what it needs from your body including your bones - so you may run deficiencies, but most likely your baby will not. The blood pressure you have now is not from your son, it is yours as you still had it after having him so do everything to keep that under control.
Early post- ops ALWAYS post "OMG, I am losing weight - um yeah, you've had WLS just recently - no surprise! Again the baby will get whatever it needs from your body even if you are left depleted. You should keep up on your supplements. The advantage we have as sleeves is that we don't have malabsorption. We can however have micronutrient issues so take heed.
You can do fine. Eat healthy and exercise. You can still lose and be healthy. Measure/weigh your foods still so that you stay on path and feel in control.
I don't get how financially a 6th child is going to tip the boat over. If you have 5, how different is 6? I guess I am assuming that you are not working with 3 little ones???
I am the last of 9 children from my parents. My mom loved children yet still my birth was questioned - she was freshly fit and starting her life. With a sister 4 years older than me she was done. I am so glad she chose me and I was born. I believe that I have been a blessing to her as she was to me (we were super, super close. I was her "baby" forever - she passed last May).
Good luck hun. You have the rest of your life to live after this pregnancy.
All Best,
Layla
I by the way love, love, love having a big family and hope that I could create one of my own.
Good luck wish u best! Stacey

How far out from surgery are you? Also how much have you gained all together? ( if u don't mind me asking) both these answers might reflect in concern around loss of weight.

lol okay was going to say that's it's and you wonder why? :) i'm not a doctor so i'm not sure if that's considered a drastic thing if you've been drinking more fluids, you might be eating less and not realizing it. i lost three pounds last week but the doc didn't say anything about it. =/ i wish i had better info for you
My PCP recommended a practice that has two docs that she felt were very competent. I go for my first appointment on Thursday.
I don't feel pregnant so I'm not paranoid at all. More like disbelief that this is actually happening. I wish I had some morning sickness so that I felt like this pregnancy was real.
My whole life I struggled with PCOS and infertility issues, as well as some physical trauma as a kid and I never thought I'd be capable of becoming pregnant. It is all so surreal right now.

My almost 9lb baby moved A LOT right until she was born!!!!! She prefered the left side of the belly though--but she moved to the point that it hurt me her pushing out so hard! Even after a c-section I am more comfortable with her out of the womb than I was the last 2 weeks of pregnancy!
