Girl I'm 10 minutes from Garland!! I could of met you for lunch. (it's always food, isn't it, lol). Great job on the 10 lbs.
On the mexican food thingy...Count out 10 chips tomorrow and savor every one. Then move the basket to the opposite side of the table. You can do it!!

OK Deb, I'm confused. How did you cook that turkey? I use one roasting pan and cover it with aluminum foil. That's the only thing I have to clean other than the knife I use for carving. Cooking a turkey is one of the easiest things to cook and gives me tons of meat. Afterward I boil the carcus and make KILLER turkey noodle soup that fills my freezer for the whole year. (and I do that in the same roasting pan).
Enjoy work tomorrow, it sure is hard to go back after having so much time off.

Wow, who stole my train? Karla's driving and Miss Charlene and Nina are riding...this is certainly not the weekday train but I got to say, I love it!!
Yesterday I went to the Doctor's hospital support group meeting and was disappointed. Usually it's very good but this time it was an "infomercial". They had a personal trainer there who spent most of the time trying to sell the "body bugg". I just wanted to tell everyone that they could do the same thing for FREE on different websites if they just put forth a little effort. The rest of the day was spent grocery shopping and doing stuff on the computer that needed to be done. Didn't do anything FUN all day. Today will be more of the same. Clay is going to play golf so I'll just make a Sam's run and stay home and read and pay bills.

Week THREE is OVER!!! We are headed into the last week of this challenge so it's time to PUSH for the finish line!! I can't believe how well we've stuck to this challenge. I'm so very proud of all of you for continuing on this quest with me. I may not make all of my goals but I have certainly become MUCH more accountable and AWARE of what I put in my body every day. If I have to RECORD it, I think twice about eating it.
Yesterday was another good one and the scale shows it. I'm back down to my lowest. I'm still not getting all of my water in and I think the reason is twofold: 1) I'm always COLD and just don't want to drink and 2) I'm too busy to stop and drink. If I just sit around watching TV I can slam down the water but usually I'm off doing something.
Yesterday I didn't stick with my plan for dinner cuz my family poo-pooed grilled shrimp. So we had goulash (made with hamb, tomato soup and shell pasta). I tried to eat more of the meat than the pasta so I still THOUGHT about what the right choice was.
I just made a protein drink for breakfast and have a pot roast in the crock pot for dinner. Lunch is up for grabs but I have good choices in the house. Already took my vitamins and I'm drinking my first 32 oz glass right now.
Karla...I'm with you. I definately want this to continue and between us, one of us should be able to start the thread each day. ***To anyone lurking out there, PLEASE join us. It's amazing the difference putting it in black and white (or purple) can make.***

2. In the begining did you take a liquid Multi? Like Centrum? No I took Flintstone chewables per my Dr's recommendation
3. When did you start the protein back up was it immidiatly after surgery? I drank one oz of protein every hour that I was awake from the time I got home from the hospital. I used Nyquil cups to measure it.
4. If so what did you take? I use Max Protein from GNC or Unjury from unjury.com

Good Saturday morning...my lovely little kitten decided to wake me up at 5 AM by STANDING on my collarbone and loudly voicing her desire for food!! Not a pleasant way to wake up. My work schedule got changed so I'm no longer working today.
Since I have no plans, there's a support group meeting at Doctor's hospital that I guess I'll go to since I haven't been in a while. They offer water aerobics for $5 but I didn't sign up since I thought I was working. I really wanted to do that cuz I haven't been since the summer.
Since it's so cold outside I might just hide in the house all weekend. I should do my income taxes this weekend. We always get a big refund and lord knows this year we need it.
Prayers to those job shopping (including my daughter) and those sick. Have a super day and make good choices. If you haven't taken your morning vitamins, STOP reading and go get them right now...(said in my most loving mommy voice).

Morning everyone. Yesterday I made great choices and scale dropped a little (0.6 lbs) but I'm still up from my lowest. Yesterday I had 1119 calories and 93 gm of protein. Work was nuts again so I didn't get in all my water.
Plan for today:
Breakfast: protein shake
Lunch: deli meat/cheese with fresh fruit
Dinner: grilled shrimp, coleslaw
Snacks: sf/ff pudding (already made), protein bar.
If I can stick to my plan it will be another good day. I also plan to workout today. I was originally supposed to work but yesterday my boss changed my schedule so I work next Saturday instead.

Oh honey, I WISH I were at goal...you of all people know how hard it is to lose those last few pounds. I was down a little further before the holidays but then had that stupid 5 lb gain. I'm SO CLOSE to being "normal" in my weight and no longer "overweight", that's all I'm asking for. No low balling the numbers for this "old" lady. I KNOW I'll never be a size 6, lol. I keep thinking all this exercise is going to help but not so far. I'll just keep plodding along...still got a little over a week left in the challenge.

I'm with ya Karla...I'm UP today too. I had 121 gm of protein, calories were good, exercised TWICE and still I'm UP...WTH???
Plan for today is more of the same...protein shake for breakfast, steak and fruit for lunch, SF/FF pudding and pretzel crisps for snacks and meat and salad for dinner. Don't know what else to do but I'm getting ticked at not being able to get off these last few pounds.
Off to work...will read later.

Good morning...I'm up and at 'em raring to go but waiting on DD to wake up. I am so proud of her, she has been kicking butt at the gym. She goes 5 days a week either by herself or with me and gives it her all. Hopefully she'll drop a few lbs or at least tone up some.
Today will be another boring day...Gym, laundry, cleaning...what I always do on my day off. I just finished coloring my hair so at least that's done. I'm working tomorrow and Saturday. Need to call Aetna about my eye surgery. It's scheduled for Feb 3rd (less than 2 weeks away) and I still don't know if they're gonna pay for it. I HATE dealing with insurance companies!!
Got a great compliment at the gym yesterday. I met a new lady who said she wanted to be "slim and trim" like me~woohoo...

Yesterday was a terrible day for me calorie-wise. I did so bad I can't even type the number. I had lunch at Olive Garden with Hubby and DD and had salad and breadsticks. I knew the breadsticks were bad cuz of the carbs but who knew the salad dressing was SO HORRIBLE. Apparently I consumed about 400 calories just in salad dressing. Then last nigh****ching TV, I ate a bunch of very heavily salted pistachio nuts. My protein count was 112 but needless to say I'm up a pound this morning.
I did work-out twice yesterday. Once at the gym and one go round with my Wii personal trainer "Maya". I'm here to tell you Maya is worse than going to the gym. I ended up sitting in the hot tub between the two to soak my aching muscles.
So today is a NEW day and the plan will be to pump up the water to get rid of the salt and to focus back on healthy eating. Plan to exercise x 2 again today.
Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: ham and cheese on mini croussant
Dinner: Sirloin steak and salad
Snack: protein bar
