Monday Workouts!
Well took a few days off last week to regroup and get my mind back in the game.
200M swim (nothing spectacular but I made it in the pool)
5K Dreadmill
Mile 1 14:23
Mile 2 10:00
Mile 3 9:08
Last .10 miles 47 seconds
Had heart rate issue on during mile 1 so I slowed for a couple minutes.
30 minutes weights Chest and legs.
TKD class tonight.
I am really liking the training negative splits on the dreadmill. Felt great to be back at it.
How has your day been?

Way to go Paul in sticking it out instead of throwing in the towel. I love speed work on the TM. One of my favorite workouts is where I warm up and then do a mile at a comfortable quick pace perhaps 6.7mph for me and then every tenth of a mile I add a tenth of a mph. You end up huffing and puffing every time.
I did 1000 vertical feet on the TM this morning in 1.6 miles That's about 12.5% average grade.

Started the day with a 2000M Swim in about 35 minutes. Running 10 after work and may sit on the trainer for an hour or two this evening while I take one for the team and watch my wife's shows with her after the kids are in bed...

2200 meter/1.364 mile swim in 1:05. At least now I know I can make the cutoff in the HIM.. at least in a 20 yard lap pool! Felt really strong as I finished up. I really am giving a lot of credit to using those paddles. Now I just gotta get in a couple of 60 mile rides and I think I got a shot at finishing this wacky race in 3 weeks!
