I'm a half marathoner at heart but have been doing CrossFit the last few months and love it! Great way to chase away the short daylight hours and darkness until I can either get a treadmill or get back in to distance running. Cheees fellow runner!
Sadly exercise doesn't replace actual mental health treatment.

Hard to have a bust on your first tornament of the year. A lot to be said for treachery and wisdom though! Your plan to just keep going at it regardless of ages of opponents is wise in itself and takes guts that obviously you?re made of tough stuff. You're going to get so much out of this Diana, I really admire you!

Well, first tournament of the year was a bust, I was the only fencer in my age bracket that registered. I have another set up for Feb 4 where there will be kids the ages of my kids (15-18) who will likely kick my ass, but I will rely and wisdom and treachery versus speed and flexibility. Thanks for all your support.

Keep on losing!

happy new year...
my daily workout routine is same.
yoga, stretching, pushups, run on the treadmill, ride an exercise bike, exercise on the rowing machine, high knees, squats.
I want to change my routine.what do you think?should i?
That sounds a fantastic plan Diana! And the best way to exercise is definitely doing something you love. I look forward to hearing from you how well or otherwise you're getting your ass kicked!
I really turned off him when he said about lose skin after weight loss, "Well.. what do you expect? It's your penalty for being obese"
i did like his idea of lose skin is ones earnt badge of honour though
and I believe perhaps he's saying to spend what energy you do have, on getting 'your head straight first, and your nutrition.' I think that is very wise and the fact that you reach for the gym as an answer to weight loss and maintenance is false if you're still caught up in regular bad eating habits because you then do need to work on your 'head' first. As he pointed out, the myth that the gym will get you your 'ideal body' in this case is totally false and will only add to your head issues when your 'perfect body' is not realised.
He does make some very good points but is perhaps too black and white. Because you can do some exercise as long as most your energy/efforts are with fixing your head issues that lead you to be fat to begin with
Hi! Thanks for your response. This was actually many months ago and I'm running like crazy now!

I don't think you should run interval first ( If you have run enough before, It's okay)
The faster you run, the more injury risk come up.
I saw that your "mind power" is really strong xD, you could achieve running fast soon. Specially when your core parts is strong.
speeding is not all you need. Sometimes, running slow will be a better therapy. SO my suggestion: you shouldn't run interval every time you go out for a running. Add some endurance running (running base on time on feet).
