Now that child 1 has been successfully delivered to Pitt (and seems to be OK there), I can get back into things -
Monday - fencing 2 hours
Tuesday - gym - weights and light cardio
Wednesday - fencing 2 hours
Thursday - pilates or yoga
Friday - agility and weights at the gym
Saturday - Maybe light workout - hubby has a 10K run on Sunday and I have to get him there early - maybe a bike ride if the weather holds.
Sunday - Rest day.
Hoping everyone has a good week. Take a moment or two to enjoy the online coverage of the eclipse this afternoon if you are not in the path of the totality - I'll be watching on line from my office.

Keep on losing!

Hi Hope everyone had a good week. My training this weekend was the pits. Got my swim in and got onto the bike and it rained than today I got a flat on the bike and for the first time in my life I had to change the tube. Than I nearly fall on my run. Hope this week will be better
Monday 30 minutes s/f
Tue 60 minute swim 45 run
Wed swim
Thursday 30 minutes s/f 60 minute run
Friday 80 minute bike ride 5 times hill repeat
Saturday last long ride 170 minute ride. hard to believe last long one before the race.
Sunday 2 hour run. been a while since I ran for 2 hours but I got this
I just want to share after my race in sept I will be doing a race at the end of Oct. First time doing this kind of race. I will be doing a 5 and a 10k race on the saturday and than back out on sunday for a half. I was thinking of doing a full marathon but my coach said no not enough recovery time from the triathlon race and after these races she wants me to take a break and give the legs a rest.

Welcome! Finding something you like to do is your best plan. For me, this meant joining a gym with a wide variety of fitness class offerings. Then I tried everything that seemed remotely appealing to me and forced myself to try it for 4 classes before giving up. This is important because you normally feel like an uncoordinated idiot for the first 2-3 classes. So you need to make sure you stick with it longer than that period of stupidity. :P
I also started walking a lot and that eventually turned into running. I ran my first half marathon in March 2017! :D

Moving your daughter can count for a workout. Count it has many workouts. Safe driving

Welcome to OH
If you have not done so post this on the VSG forum to reach out to those that have had or are going to have the surgery type you are interested in. We have seen others post about weight loss surgery and staying or becoming a vegan. It can be done as the other poster said it takes some planning. Check out Dr. Garth Davis as he is a weight loss surgeon and advocates vegan eating.

I'm going to have a wonky week - we move my oldest daughter to the University of Pittsburgh (5 hour drive each way) with the drive out Friday, move in on Saturday and drive home on Sunday. So 10 hours of car time. Plus, who knows what's going to come up to be dealt with but right now the plan is
M - Fencing 2 hours
T - yoga (TRX class on break til Labor Day)
W - Fencing 2 hours
Thursday - who knows
Friday - Car
Saturday - move daughter into dorm
Sunday - car
Hope everyone has a great week.

Nerves are OK. You've been consistent in your training. Have faith in muscle memory. I admire your taking on this challenge - its something I could never do. We've got your back!
