Band Check

Jan 25, 2010

Working out at gym and in pool 5, 6 even 7 days a week and numbers haven't been changing  (I believe am losing inch's though)  After having to convince Dr that I wanted the fill done under fluro I had that done today.
I am tickled to report that according to him i was wrong, there is nothing wrong with the band or my esophagus  WOOT.  He did say that the band was totally loose and put in .75 cc.   Must have been the trick because now everything is making me sick...but I am not gonna rush back to Dr because cycle due any day so guessing that part of it is related to that.  Going to do soups and such for a day or two and then go from there.  I am in phase 2 with my band...I have my first pieces of success and will be building on that for this year! :)  Its going to be a great year!   I am however staying home from gym today due to PBing  (sigh)

Noting changes :)

Dec 02, 2009

After months of trial and error…and well to be honest some bad choices on what to eat  (sigh, Red Bull)  I have been really working to get on track and get this thing going in the right direction!   I have been going to the gym and pool an average of 5 days a week and have set it as part of my routine.   Pounds are moving little by little…but I will take it for now.  Lots are noticing and that is really proving helpful to poke me on lol and as silly as it sounds I use facebook to hold me accountable.  I post each day that I have been to the gym and/or pool and what I did.  Receiving more and more support which is always a good thing, started the Elliptical for the first time yesterday, so now that Is part of my routine.  I am wobbley as wobbley today...but still will be in pool tonight for water aerobics and thinking about doing a bit on Elliptical first ....just not sure if knees can take it, we will see :)

Working on getting back to thinking clearly

Nov 05, 2009

Not really sure how it happened, and never been good at blaming others so I hold myself accountable.  I have somehow lost all sight of what i should be eating and have been working to get that as well as my exercise back on track.  Ate very little yesterday....but about 84 oz water.   Have not had a red bull in 5 days (I still sorta miss him)  I have been to  the gym twice this week  40-60 min in gym then steam room, then laps in pool for 20 then whirlpool for 10.   Doing as much as I can without causing "real" pain to my knees.  They are holding up pretty well, I am curious if the last fall didn't actually help them some..they seem to sit better then they have since the original injury.

Pats self on back, said no to salt and vinegar chips :)  and kinda like a reward the protein chips and such I ordered arrived today :)  tried them and they re actually eatable. :)  so happy about that  :)

plateau buster diet food ideas from post

Nov 05, 2009

I just finished it and lost 6 lbs.
I've seen a lot of posts about menu ideas for the PB diet.  I didn't include all measurements, but stuck to the recommendations on the diet.  The diet doesn't say anything about what kind of protein suppliments to use so I used Pure Protein bars and 2 different shakes.  My protein totals for the day were between 90 and 125.  Carbs were between 25 and 45 on average.

Here are some sample meals;

2 hard boiled eggs
3 oz chinese style BBQ pork with mustard
1/2 c FF refried beans with 2 oz chicken and LF melted cheese
1/2 c LF cottage cheese
3 turkey meatbals with 3 tbls heart smart marinara
1 slice turkey meatloaf w/ tomato sauce on top
3 oz omelet with cheese and ham
3 oz qyro meat with feta cheese
Ground turkey with marinara and a little parm cheese
rotisserie chicken breast w/ SF BBQ sauce
Grilled Pork chop
Marinated Pork loin
Crock pot Pork roast with mustard rub
Toppings off of 2 slices of pepperoni pizza
Shrimp
Lobster
Halibut
Tuna

Snacks:
Lean body protein shake  25 g protein, no sugar, 180 calories
Pure Protein shakes
Pure Protein bar
String cheese

I didn't add any veggies but didn't stress about onion and mushrooms used in cooking.
I didn't do any fruit.

Babybel cheese round
Beef jerkey
Peanut butter, 2 tblsp. plain

I find myself being discouraged at times thinking I will never reach my goal....  I hear the compliments "you look so good" You're doing so great...  then I look in the mirror... its the same face, the same fat..  just the same, but how can all those people be lieing to me?  Are they lieing? Are they just trying to make me feel better ?    Are their compliments based only on the fact that I am a nice person and they want to have something kind to say?  The scale doesn't move like I think it should, I mean I should be at least 40lbs smaller by now...  (feelings of failure set in)  I know I could try harder, or do more or make different choices...  That's where I am atm, seeking a new plan.  The band must be working or people wouldn't keep saying those things after this much time ...right?  And I want to do all i can to help it...  I want to be successful at this so very badly.

Weight is starting to come off some and my cloths sooo dont fit...but I dont feel as successful as i would like to be with this.  I would really like for this to be more laid out for me...I dont feel like things were explained to me to be the way that they are, but I am not saying I regret this, only that I do wish I had looked into more that offer the service.  Maybe Im just a little down...i dont know.  Wanting to be successful.
