5.5 Weeks since surgery

Sooo busy getting ready for Christmas, I never blogged. Well things are going great! Averaging approx 5 lbs per week. Yesterday, Christmas Morning, I hit a secret goal of  219. I had never broken 222 without heading back up on the scale. That was always the point I reached when dieting where something would happen and I would begin to cheat. or lose faith or grow bored and the numbers on the scale would head back up.  So my SKINNY CLOTHES look great on me and I feel great. One problem Constipation. Really rough have to take many products to overcome. Once I get this regulated, I will be unstoppable!   Off this next week. Plenty of time for walking Krystal and heading back to the gym. Looking forward to the New Year and the New Me!

4 weeks since surgery

Well, I FEEL GREAT !! Thats all I can say. Back to work for a week. I rescued a dog from the shelter on Saturday. Krystal, a 6 yr old poodle with a rough past is now here to be loved, spoiled and walked and walked and walked. She can't get enough walking and I'm hoping she inspires the same attitude in me.  Actually, adopting Krtystal is part of the plan for my new life. I have a lot of love to give so I'm giving to Krystal. Also, every excercise program says, "find something you love," well, I've been excercising on & off for 40 years and I knew I needed a new motivation. My plan is for Krystal to motivate me to get out there as oten as possible. You can't ignore a dog who needs to "Go Out" so I'm hoping this will be the start of a great partnership. Thanks to everyone at OH for their postings and info and hugs....

back to work on Monday 12/7 that wa the best for me. Feeling great eating chicken or tuna fish every night. Doing well with vits and proteins. Back spasms very infrequent. Feel good and people are noticing. Down 5 more lbs so I am averaging 5 a week. That is 35 total including the 20 pre surgery. All is well! HAPPY  I made this choice!

2 weeks since sugery

Its been 2 weeks since surgery. Not exactly what I expected.Has a drain incision that closed, then I had it reopened then it drained all through Thanksgiving weekend then closed again on Sunday. I hope that's done.
I've had lots of back pain and sleeplessness but the strangest is the anxiety. I don't know if that's normal but I can't stand it. Went back to work on Monday 11/30/09 ( 13 days post surgery) and I couldn't handle it. Was anxious sweaty, I was a mess. Called my boss, he gave me off another week. Yesterday was bad but today Wed 12/2 I feel like I'm on the other side and coming through to the light side. Weight loss continues. I had lost 20 pre surgery so down 10 since surgery. 5 per week is GREAT for me!!  I m blogging to get this out of my system to note what really is going on and most importantly to MOVE ON and Have the life I want and deserve!
I am so grateful I was able to have this done! I am also grateful for everyone's support.

1 week since the start of my new life!

Well, I had my gastric bypass surgery 1 week ago today. WOW, I really can't beleive that momentous day has came and gone. Its been rough but not horrible. Worse is the back pain, spasms( I think must be gas) and the incision pain. I do feel better everyday and I know I made the right decision. Thanksgiving is inb 2 day sand I have a lot to be Thankful for.

1 Day to Surgery

Tomorrow is my RNY Surgery. I am so excited. November 17, 2009 will be my new birthday. I have tried everything to lose weight, and I did lose some weight But then I gained it back with extra! I have been on liquids for 2 weeks. I was told 1 week by the DR but always was an overachiever. I can't wait. I'm Packing my bag now and getting ready for the Big Day.  Thanks to everyone on OH for all the info I have gained and reading "Losers" personal stories have given me so much insight. I feel prepare, Thank You.  (Thanks Kathy B for making me feel part of a group!)
