Setting small goals

I have set some long term goals, like a BMI of 24, maintaining a weight of 180, but until today, I did not set small goals. I am trying to lose 5 pounds per week and so far have been able to make that. I realize that may change, but it gives me something to shoot for.What happens if I don't make a goal? Well, then I will need to figure out why. Did I do the things I needed to do or was the goal unrealistic?
I am starting to get more comments on my body change, not so much on weight loss, but that I look different. It's a good thing. It helps keep me motivated to try to lose more weight. I know they say WLS is only a tool, but what a powerful tool if used properly!
